The Most On-Trend Dresses to Wear in Spring/Summer 2023

In this article we are going to take an overview of the top dress trends in spring/summer 2023.
Which silhouettes, colors and fabrics are in fashion next season? Let’s take a look together.

Corset Dresses: from Lingerie to Everyday Fashion

It seems like the corsets are everywhere. It’s been a long-lasting trend of over 2 years now, and it doesn’t seem to be leaving anytime soon.
In spring/summer 2023 season a corset doesn’t have a strong connection with something frivolous anymore. Some fashion houses have managed to include boning and bustier tops into pretty covered pieces that could be worn even to office.

Colorful Dresses: Monochrome and Colorblock

Since last-years Valentino all-pink collection, bright colors and monoсhrome outfits are definitely staying. Bright pink, blue, yellow and green are colors that were present at least in a third of spring/summer 2023 collections.
If you think that going that bold is a bit too much for you, try introducing a single item of your outfit in a bright colour.
Here we picked our favourites: a pink cape dress from Valentino and a coral latex Versace dress, – to make a true statement.

It’s All in the Hardware: Eyelets, Rivets and So On

In spring-summer 2023 fashion is taking a look back at the beginning of 2010-s with its stud obsession. Do you remember the iconic Valentino Rockstud line? It looks like the excessive hardware is coming back, but in a slightly more subtle form. The eyelets, rivets and studs are not as aggressive: this time they are mimicking jewellery and lace detailing on the fabrics.
We’re super excited to see the Chloé SS2023 collection in store. It had many pieces that were decorated by exquisite use of hardware. For now we suggest taking a look at the dresses by Alexander McQueen and Paco Rabanne.

Office Wear: Sheath Dresses are Back

Sheath dresses are very much in fashion in spring/summer 2023. They even might escape the offices and become an everyday fashion item, since their presence in the new collections is so evident.
In mini, midi or maxi length; in materials from leather to wool – many people would be able to find the perfect fit for themselves.
For now we suggest looking for trendy sheath dresses in brands that embrace the “old money” aesthetic, such as Burberry and Hermès.

Minimalist Dresses: the 90’s Are Not Leaving

90’s are not leaving the fashion scene. Hand in hand with the bold colour trend, minimalist pieces are very much present in spring/summer 2023 collections.
Clean lines, architectural silhouettes, no visible hardware and being monotone are the key points of such style.
From Loewe to Khaite to Valentino: all these fashion houses have a lot of super minimalist pieces in their collections.

Devil Wears Sheer

In summer 2023 fashion is getting closer and closer to the skin. Starting with the corsets and moving to sheer fabrics, this season we have more and more to reveal.
From exquisite see-through plisse dresses, to sporty straight dresses by Miu Miu with boxers underneath, sheer is at its all-time high. Lace, chiffon, nets – there’s so much variety in the upcoming season.
